Nexus 5 Appears On Google Play Store

The official Nexus 5 listing was up on the Google Play store ahead of its presumed launch date of 28th October.
The Nexus 5 listing, along with a full size crystal clear image of the device has reveled a lot of things.
From the image, we can see the following things,
  • The Nexus 5 is manufactured by LG
  • Uni-body construction, no detachable battery
  • Very slim, definitely slimmer than the Nexus 4
  • Huge camera at the back, probably with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization)
  • Front facing camera is at the top-center, instead of top-right as seen on the Nexus 4
  • Full HD (1080p) display
  • Power button is on the right and volume rocker is at the left, similar to the Nexus 4
  • New wallpaper, which looks like a zoomed 5
  • New set of icons
  • New icon for the menu button, has a 3D-look to it
  • Transparent status bar
  • Translucent icons (white color) on status bar, instead of blue
  • Transparent on screen buttons pane, instead of black
  • Hangouts app, instead of default messaging app
Android 4.4 KitKat, definitely has a clean new UI design which looks amazing on the full HD display of the Nexus 5.

The listing on the Play Store said,
"Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways. Starting at $349."
This confirms that the camera unit at the back will have OIS and will capture amazing pictures and videos.
It also confirms that the Nexus 5 will be available for purchase at $349.

We are not sure if the Nexus 5 will be available in more than one variant (8GB, 16GB, 32GB). As this seems to be the price of the base variant (8GB/16GB).
